Marine Performer takes a non-academic approach to Leadership. We believe that for Marine Leadership Training to work, the training must change behaviour on board and on shore. This is achieved, not by telling the crew to change, but rather by allowing each participant to experience at first hand the difference between leadership that works and leadership that does not work. This way Leaders change because they want to, not because we tell them to.
We believe, the big differentiator in ship performance is to be found in improved leadership. It is through leadership we motivate our crew, grow our safety culture, create a stronger passion for the ship and its crew, and generally improve overall ship performance.
The training
The training is highly intensive and thus has a limited number of participants. We focus on a few but very effective people leadership skills, and then spend the majority of the time practising them, drawing out the leadership observations and relating it to situations on board and on shore.
